
Over the years, Friends of the Arts (FOA) has proudly funded programs and needs within the Fine Arts Department at Deerfield High School. In the 2024–2025 school year, FOA provided support across all areas of the arts at DHS, including:
- Four scholarships for graduating seniors
- Scholarships for private arts lessons
- Professional harpist for combined choir/orchestra concert
- Guest choreographers for Dance Company
- Band sectional instructors and chamber coaches
- Percussion Ensemble coaching and Percussion class sectionals
- Co-choreographer for Dance Company senior piece
- Accompanist for the Wind Ensemble Honors Recital
- Wayfarer Theater rental for Film & TV Production end-of-year screenings
- Professional string quartet for AP Music Theory students
- Professional drummer and bass player for Jazz Night
- Financial assistance for students to attend LRRIC Opera’s production of La Bohème
- Masquerade masks for orchestra concert
- DHS band shirts for middle schoolers performing at the HS/MS combined concert
- Step-and-repeat backdrop for DHS Theater
- Meals for middle school choral, band, and orchestra combination concerts
- Donuts for DHS and HPHS Marching Band on Opening Day for teachers and staff
- End-of-year celebrations
